Sydney Furbush is the founder and CEO for Emergence Consulting Group and has over 31 years of experience working in Gas and Electric Utility Industry. Sydney is focused on ensuring that Emergence Consulting Group supports clients in increasing their company profitability, establish long-term business goals and develop strategies to ensure consistent and sustainable annual business growth.
Sydney is also the founder of the Swing Angel Foundation, a non-profit organization based in San Diego, CA that specializes in facilitating the planning, production, and fundraising of charity golf tournaments that support the next generation of young business leaders.

The heart of the Swing Angel Foundation lies in our passion for inspiring young entrepreneurs to become future business leaders of their generation, connection business owners with the right people at golf events, giving them a competitive advantage to help their business grow year after year. The Foundation also empowers other non-profits organizations with the opportunity to create unforgettable golf tournaments that increase revenues and keep their donors coming back.

A Bit About Me
Sherry Shafiei is the Chief Operating Officer at Emergence Consulting Group.
Prior to joining Emergence Consulting Group, Sherry worked in the gas and electric utility industry in Southern California, for over 15 years with great knowledge working in the areas of safety, emergency services, fleet operations and supply management.

As the COO at Emergence Consulting Group, Sherry oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and works closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
​
She is committed to ensuring that the firm provides exceptional service to its clients through a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
​
Sherry received her bachelor’s degree in economics from San Diego State University, and a master’s degree in business administration from National University.
